This -song debut EP shows the promise that Cesaria Evora has. ‘Cesaria Evora CD1′ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This is the first studio album from Cesaria Evora since bad diagnosis in 1995. Cesaria Evora CD1 is not something you should pass up.
When listening to Besame mucho, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. First time I heard Quem bo e was on radio driving in my car and sonically it just sounded amazing.This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Cinturao tem mele without a doubt is the standout song of Cesaria Evora CD1. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Nho antone escaderode. I hope to keep hearing Cesaria Evora works for a long time to come. Voice and instruments in Estanfadinha complement each other. Tchintchuro is one of the best records ever. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. I listened to the opening track Mar e morada and liked it a lot. Novasintra is such a astounding and optimistic song that things can get just better. Saboer de pecado is amazing work of Cesaria Evora. Petit pays is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Chepuscular is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Juaquim paris is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Cesaria Evora CD1. Sabine largam is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Ingrata is a good listen every once in a while.
