Clouds In My Coffee 1965-1995 (CD 1) isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Since Carly Simon last CD (Clouds In My Coffee 1965-1995 (CD 1)) on ForeFront Records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. Carly Simon’s debut, ‘Clouds In My Coffee 1965-1995 (CD 1)’, does not fit easily into one genre. Let The River Run and You Belong To Me is really good.
You Belong To Me catches attention immediately, Nobody Does It Better is the albums biggest surprise. This song may be the most meaningful. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Carly Simon is hitting on all cylinders in Stuff That Dreams Are Made Of. You’re So Vain is outstanding work of Carly Simon. Touched By The Sun is a very catchy tune. Put Haven’t Got Time For The Pain into car stereo for your highway driving I like the idea behind Better Not Tell Her. Legend In Your Own Time without a doubt is the standout song of Clouds In My Coffee 1965-1995 (CD 1). This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Carly Simon breathes new life into the music in That’s The Way I’ve Always Heard It Should Be. I can’t stop playing All I Want Is You. Right Thing To Do is one of these floating songs. This track is just fantastic from start to finish. Anticipation sets the tone for the entire album. Don’t judge Give Me All Night on the first listening.
