Candye Kane had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. This disc has all of the essential Candye Kane classics. Home Cookin’ isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Home Cookin’ is not something you should pass up.
Why’d You Have to Say That “L Word?” - I just love it. You Don’t Love Me No More is the album’s biggest hit, I think. This song may be the most meaningful. Dance Hall Girls - This one has a powerful beat and a good melody. Catch an Honest Man is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. This song is dynamic and dramatic. Big Mama Candye’s Blues is beautiful, yet underrated track. It’s so catchy, it’s amazing. |titile| is the kind of record that makes you remember why music can be so addictive. You Let Me Down Again is a catchy, up-tempo track that has influence of music streams without leaning too much in that direction. No! I Ain’t Gonna Let You Go is just simply stunning. Tell Me a Lie stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. Some Lazy Afternoon (For Evan and Tommy) (3:37) a good melody.
