It has been sixteen years Cage, John’ last studio CD, “In A Landscape” which won Array Emmy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. This is the first studio album from Cage, John since bad diagnosis in 1995. This nine-song debut EP shows the promise that Cage, John has. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
Music For Marcell Duchamp (1947) - This one is what it is: a powerful, primal invitation to love. Souvenir (1983) is Cage, John’s best work in years. A Valentine Out Of Season (1944) is beautiful, yet underrated track. Only one song from In A Landscape named Suite For Toy Piano (1948) really got me. Bacchanale (1938) is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Prelude For Meditation (1944) is the albums biggest surprise. I can’t stop humming along Dream (1948).
