‘Eno Box I - Instrumental’ kicks the album off with a blast of pure pop energy. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Brian Eno. Brian Eno’s debut, ‘Eno Box I - Instrumental’, does not fit easily into one genre. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
In Dunwich Beach, Autumn 1960 you won’t find any flashy solos. From the sound of it, I believe the song can be a big radio hit. Thursday Afternoon [Edit] - For me, this is the best of the album. The Lost Day one is one of the better boring ones. Ikebukuro [Edit] is the albums biggest surprise. 11 is marvelous song though, very addictive. Brian Eno rocks harder than ever with Stars. An Index Of Metals [Edit] is almost impossible to review. An Arcs Of Doves rocked my world when I popped it into my car stereo. Fleeting Smile (2:32) Not one of my favorites, but for a lot of people this is one of their best songs. A Stream With Bright Fish is another favourite of mine. Mist Rhythm the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. More Volts is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations. Strong Flashes Of Light is a medium tempo tune. After few listenings I started to like Moss Garden more and more. Tension Lock is pretty funky and mellow. Some of the arrangements found on Eno Box I - Instrumental are surprisingly edgy. Chemistry is simply gorgeous. Warszawa is absolutely incredible. I now have Theme From Creation as one of my personal favorites. Saint Tom is such a perfect and optimistic song that things can get just better. Although Asian River is very melodic it is far from sad. Brian Eno is one of artists that allow his songs like Approaching to stand on their own and be heard. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Listening to Drift Study you can hear that Brian Eno has still amazing chemistry with band members. Always Returning I - A catchy, upbeat tune. Signals is the funkiest number on the album. The song Roman Twiglight ending is my favorite… so catchy! As always, Brian Eno’s lyrics are worth listening to again and again. This track is a fabulous selection of easy listening, suitable for any age, taste or occasion. Put Final Sunset into car stereo for your highway driving Voice of Brian Eno in M386 is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. This track is nearly perfect if not perfect. Simple and heartfelt closing track A Measured Room closes Eno Box I - Instrumental on a high note. There Is Nobody catches attention immediately, Patrolling Wire Borders is just simply stunning. Brian Eno sings Events In Dense Fog in such a comforting, confident voice that you can’t help but be moved. Sparrowfall I which is my favorite is a truly Brian Eno sounding song. Voice and instruments in Sparrowfall I complement each other. This is probably my favorite song on the album. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. Marseilles is a song that takes you on the journey before it reaches the conclusion. So much energy, so exciting a sound. The Secret is astounding work of Brian Eno. Reactor is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Empty Landscape is a marvelous, simple song by Brian Eno at the top of his game. Brian Eno offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Untitled is a good listen every once in a while. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. The opening track Dover Beach is very much like you would expect from other albums. Brian Eno must have run out of lyrics on the next track Energy Fools The Magician. Another Green World is a strong cut, one of many.
