Lead single “Nothing To Do With Love” and “You’re The One” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. IF YOU LIKE ALL Bonnie Tyler’S SONG GO FOR IT! Bonnie Tyler was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Bonnie Tyler and Free Spirit together. I greatly enjoyed this CD.
You’re The One is the albums biggest surprise. Making Love (Out Of Nothing At All) - I just love it. Given It All gives taste of what makes Bonnie Tyler special as a musician. What You Got - This one is lively and fun. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Free Spirit. Still going through Free Spirit and coming to appreciate Time Mends A Broken Heart more and more with every listen. Driving Me Wild has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. This track is a great song that still never gets old. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. All Night To Know You gives good insight into the truths. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Free Spirit is Forget Her. Two Out Of Three Ain’t Bad is beautiful, yet underrated track. In Sexual Device (The Vari Mix) the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation.
