It’s natural for Boney M to take a stab at ‘Young, Free and Single’ considering her long-professed love for B.B. King. While no new Boney M album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in Europe. On Eye Dance album, Boney M have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. I wish that “Eye Dance” album was instrumental.
The sound in Todos Buenos is really warm and Boney M’s signature voice is still very much present. Boney M allows each song to breathe and flourish. Music of Sample City is gentle, never overbearing. This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Boney M. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor. Got Cha Loco is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. I now have Dreadlock Holiday as one of my personal favorites. All of songs on Eye Dance and have something to say letting alone Chica Da Silva. Song Bang Bang Lulu is actually a funny song.
