This thirteen-song debut EP shows the promise that Bob Holroyd has. On Fluidity and Structure album, Bob Holroyd have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Fluidity and Structure isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Fluidity and Structure is the best essence of Bob Holroyd.
I find myself hearing bits of Across The Border here and there throughout my waking hours. Descent Into Darkness is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Opening track Cries From The Rooftop (For A Free Tibet) shows the best of Bob Holroyd. Overall a nice softer song. A great put together song. On The Forest Floor is the albums lead single as well as biggest hit. I believe Still is one of the most excellent, heartfelt songs ever written. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. I think African Drug is the best song Bob Holroyd has ever done. Rosebud - A catchy, upbeat tune. In An Angel’s Footstep is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Bob Holroyd ever produced.
