There is so much to love about Black Sabbath, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Cross Purposes isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. There were many famous songs of Black Sabbath available. To me Black Sabbath is the best band ever.
Cross Of Thorns - This one is lively and fun. Psychophobia is a very catchy tune. Virtual Death is simple, dignified and effective, Black Sabbath refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Charming song, great melody. Dying For Love as a highlight of Cross Purposes contains a ton of astounding melodies. Back To Eden is the first taste of the new album. The Hand That Rocks The Cradle is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. Cardinal Sin is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside. Evil Eye is a pleasing, and full of overall coherence that goes beyond other creations.
