This is one of the best Cd’s Big Joe Turner has dropped to date. Big Joe Turner had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. After seeing Boogie Woogie Country Girl, I had to have a good Big Joe Turner cd. This album is in perfect progression from Big Joe Turner!
Rock A While - I used to hate this song, but now it’s one of my favorites. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. Love Rollercoaster as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Big Joe Turner offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. (We’re Gonna) Jump For Joy - A catchy, upbeat tune. Low Down Dog is probably one of Big Joe Turner’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Morning Glories - Check out that bassline! Big Joe Turner sings his heart out in You’re Driving Me Crazy. The song feels complete. You can find feelings on this piece of art. Strong, powerful vocals of Big Joe Turner in Rebecca are very impressive. Don’t You Make Me High can be hardly overrated by any means; this is what Big Joe Turner is all about. Time After Time is a good listen every once in a while. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Big, Bad and Blue Vol.3. I like the idea behind Honeydripper. The sound of Can’t Read, Can’t Write Blues is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. Big Joe Turner has created something that grabs you by the heart and gets you moving.
