For older fans Big, Bad and Blue Vol.2 will put a massive smile accross your face. I am not a real Blues music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Big, Bad and Blue Vol.2′ really is amazing. This song could easily nestle itself onto the world top playlists. Chains Of Love is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. Bump Miss Susie is probably one of Big Joe Turner’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. No Big Joe Turner song has come close to capturing my attention as Sweet Sixteen did. When I listen to Don’t You Cry in my car when traffic ain’t going so good. Still In Love is nothing but pure genius. The opening track Honey Hush is very much like you would expect from other albums. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Big, Bad and Blue Vol.2 is Crawdad Hole. TV Mama is the funkiest number on the album. The beautiful sound of this track makes you want to close your eyes and sway away with the music. The first time I listened to Shake, Rattle & Roll I was struck by its cool sound. Best song on the album, love it. Big Joe Turner offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Big Joe Turner sings his heart out in Well All Right. Big Joe Turner breathes new life into the music in Ti-Ri-Lee. Simple and heartfelt closing track Flip Flop And Fly closes Big, Bad and Blue Vol.2 on a high note. This is one of those tracks that should not be judged after the first hearing.
