two years ago, Beastie Boys briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Soba Violence”. I am not a real Rap: Hip-Hop music type of person, but i have to admit ‘Aglio E Olio’ really is amazing. On the Denmark charts, superstar Beastie Boys’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Smart music for smart people.
Once you hear Soba Violence, you will listen to it over and over. Square Wave In Unison is the album’s biggest hit, I think. Nervous Assistant - I like this one. I Want Some is a great opener for Aglio E Olio. If you are a Beastie Boys fan, you will love I Can’t Think Straight. Deal With It is another favourite of mine. The first time I listened to Believe Me I was struck by its marvelous sound. It is succeeded by an outstanding track, however: Brand New, which shows, blatantly, how much Beastie Boys has evolved as a singer.
