When you buy a BBM album, you know exactly what you’re getting! This eleven-song debut EP shows the promise that BBM has. Since completing 1994’s ‘Waiting In The Wings’, BBM fulfilled their contract with Mute Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This is what good Rock: Blues should be.
City Of Gold is another favourite of mine. Where In The World is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Can’t Fool The Blues is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. Album opener High Cost Of Loving is a bright, upbeat ditty. Vocal harmonies in this track are great and song structure is just right. Why Does Love (Have To Go Wrong) catches attention immediately, Naked Flame is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track BBM ever produced. |titile| is quite refreshing and sets the tone for what is going on in Around The Next Dream. In Wrong Side Of Town you won’t find any flashy solos.
