Self-described as Latin with lots of words, Barao Vermelho comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. While no new Barao Vermelho album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in South America. Barao Vermelho was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Barao Vermelho and Maior Abandonado together. If I may, I suggest “Track 1″. That one song is amazing!
Track 2 - My least favorite song on this album. Track 3 is a song to savor, to listen to from every angle. Track 4 - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Barao Vermelho. Maior Abandonado couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Track 5. Track 6 is a song that will not reduce you to tears but leave you thinking long after Maior Abandonado have ended. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Barao Vermelho offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Music in Track 9 is exquisite as in all tracks of Maior Abandonado. Although Track 10 is very melodic it is far from sad. This track is clearly meant to showcase Barao Vermelho’s vocal abilities.
