This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Banco De Gaia. Last Train To Lhasa CD1 is an amazing album, racked with beauty. While no new Banco De Gaia album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in Africa. Banco De Gaia is one of my favourite bands of all time.
Kuos makes a person feel perfect. China (clouds not mountains) is simply gorgeous. Amber stands out to me for its audacious melody and sheer beauty. The sound in Kincajou is really warm and Banco De Gaia’s signature voice is still very much present. Lyrics of White Paint are precise and evocative. 887 (structure) defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone.
