Since completing 1995’s ‘The Rape’, Aura Noir fulfilled their contract with Capitol Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This disc has all of the essential Aura Noir classics. Self-described as Metal: Death,Black with lots of words, Aura Noir comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. The Rape and Forlorn Blessings To The Dreamking is really good.
Only one song from Dreams Like Deserts named Forlorn Blessings To The Dreamking really got me. This is one hell of a track. Angel Ripper is really a nice song to relax and listen too. Snake make listening to Aura Noir like being in some sort of time warp. Mirage is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song.
