Since completing 1995’s ‘Start The Riot’, Atari Teenage Riot fulfilled their contract with Savoy Records and where under no obligation to release another album. This disc has all of the essential Atari Teenage Riot classics. After debuting at No. 1 last week, Atari Teenage Riot’s album Delete Yourself falls to No. 2 with 474,000, a sales slide of 87%. This album is awesome.
This is the kind of song I think of when I think of Atari Teenage Riot. Raverbashing is absolutely incredible. This song has very few things relative to that of it’s predecessor. Sex is a medium tempo tune. Musically Midijunkies is superior to other tracks in Delete Yourself. Delete Yourself! You Got No Chance To Win (Live In Glasgow 17.10.1993) is perfect. I find myself hearing bits of Hetzjagd Auf Nazis ! (Live In Berlin 25.2.1994) here and there throughout my waking hours. Cyberpunks Are Dead! have really caught my ear and imagination. Kids Are United! - My least favorite song on this album. Atari Teenage Riot is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. This track, in particular, has the kind of undeniably catchy flavor.
