Since Astor Piazzolla and David Tononbam last CD (El Porteno) on Capitol Records back in 1994, I have felt a massive void in my life. For older fans El Porteno will put a massive smile accross your face. Astor Piazzolla and David Tononbam had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. If I may, I suggest “Chau Paris”. That one song is amazing!
Otono Porteno one is one of the better boring ones. In Invierno Porteno the music gets its power. No Astor Piazzolla and David Tononbam song has come close to capturing my attention as Primavera Portena did. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Best song on the album, love it. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on El Porteno is La Muerte del Angel. Campero as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. Romantico is an underrated song: I like its lyrics and melody a lot. Acentuado - A strong beat. Musically Triston is superior to other tracks in El Porteno. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on El Porteno.
