This album has some very good songs like Neue Menschen and Topos E. On Sinkende Schwimmer album, Asmus Tietchens have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. This is one of the best Cd’s Asmus Tietchens has dropped to date. Sinkende Schwimmer is the best essence of Asmus Tietchens.
Topos E to me is the best you can get from Asmus Tietchens. One listen to the sheer beauty of Speeclus 2 was all I needed. Kein Schoener Traum is marvelous song though, very addictive. Music of Folienschall is gentle, never overbearing. I believe Topos 4 is one of the most cool, heartfelt songs ever written. Opening track Reso 1 shows the best of Asmus Tietchens. Reso 2 defines beauty, yet is as unforgiving as an astringent stone. Blew our minds when we first heard Kurzer Ballonflug. Herr und Hund is the albums biggest surprise. Speeclus 1 is another strong production from Asmus Tietchens. Simply the finest work ever from this multi-talented singer. The song feels complete.
