Anuna isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Anuna carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. This is the first studio album from Anuna since bad diagnosis in 1995. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Although I prefer the faster paced music, I think The First Day (Mary’s Breastplate) is my favorite song on Anuna. It took me a little time but I ended up loving Invocation. So much energy, so exciting a sound.Sanctus - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Blew our minds when we first heard Pater Noster. I love the melodic melody of Faigh an Gleas and to this day it makes me feel good. One listen to the sheer beauty of Suantrai was all I needed. Overall a nice softer song. Cormacus Scripsit is sonically very melodic with nice haunting verses. Silent, O Moyle - My least favorite song on this album. After you’ve listened to Jerusalem, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Fionnghuala is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Anuna. The Blue Bird (2:29) - awsome. In Si Do Mhaimeo I you won’t find any flashy solos.
