Voice of Antonio Carlos Jobim in Chora Coracao is honest and guitar work is subtle and poignant. In Blue Train the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Radames y Pele is just simply stunning. I can’t stop humming along Meu Amigo Radames. This track is a killer, it just grabs you instantly. Pato Preto good vocals. Maracangalha is probably the highlight of the album. Forever Green is probably the most interesting track on Antonio Brasilero. Listening to Samba de Maria Luiza you can hear that Antonio Carlos Jobim has still amazing chemistry with band members. After you’ve listened to Surfboard, most everything else can’t hold up and is second rate. Querida is a romantic if not formulaic ditty. When listening to Insensatez, it gives me such an energy rush it’s unbelievable. Piano Na Mangueira - isn’t quite as powerful vocally, but has a beautiful melody. So Danco Samba still maintains something of a specific flourish.
