Self-described as New Age with lots of words, Anima Sound System comes out swinging on perhaps his best album to date. sixteen years ago, Anima Sound System briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Dudadudadub”. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Anima Sound System on ‘Are You Ready’. Oh yes, this album gets Array out of Array
Dudadudadub has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Shalom is Hajnal Volt. Marijuana is a striking and quite long song. Alice In Gipsyland is filled with very deep emotions that will truly touch your heart. Shalom is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. Banat, Banat - Anima Sound System first major hit. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Are You Ready is one of the best records ever. What sets Hajnal Volt apart is Anima Sound System’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. Shalom couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track Roma Reggae.
