On the Thailand charts, superstar Andre Previn’s career stalled before it left the starting gate. Andre Previn had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Double Play! isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Smart music for smart people.
Who’s On First? - arguably the best track on Double Play! album. Called On Account Of Rain is absolutely incredible. In The Cellar Blues is nothing but pure genius. I have all of Andre Previn’s tracks and Batter Up is probably the most his introspective effort. Although Double Play is very melodic it is far from sad. This is probably my favorite song on the album. In this song fans will recognize the unique vocals of Andre Previn. It’s such an underrated song.
