An Sook-Sun was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from An Sook-Sun and Knowing the Sound together. Lead single “Gu-eum Sinawe” and “Farewell Song” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. While no new An Sook-Sun album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in Europe. Gu-eum Sinawe and Farewell Song is really good.
Farewell Song is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track An Sook-Sun ever produced. This is the most melodic ambitious and satisfying track in Knowing the Sound. This song may be the most meaningful. Dung-dang-gae Ta-ryeong and ot is a exquisite sing-along. Gang-gang-sul-rae is flawed, nonetheless pretty good song. Once you hear Neol-ttui-gi, you will listen to it over and over. Dal-maj-i (3:07) - awsome. This track is just a stunning masterpiece. Eo-di-ro Gal-ga-bu-da has a gorgeous instrumental sound, which lets An Sook-Sun’s strong vocals come to the fore.
