There is so much to love about Amanda Lear, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. Cadavrexes carries a very emotional theme throughout the album. Since Amanda Lear last CD (Cadavrexes) on SixSteps records back in 1995, I have felt a massive void in my life. IT makes me wanna dance!
Sacrilige one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Some call Speak Of The Devil from Cadavrexes as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. It’s such an underrated song. Some of the arrangements found on Cadavrexes are surprisingly edgy. What A Boy as well as many of songs is a short story in miniature. After few listenings I started to like Follow Me more and more. Loving catches attention immediately, In Lili Marlen the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. Fantasy (Long Version) have really caught my ear and imagination.
