Now signed to Allpa Kallpa’s Mute Records, the title track from second album “Traditional Music of the Andes” leads Allpa Kallpa’s back-to-school campaign. Allpa Kallpa had quite a long carriere and they made many hits. Allpa Kallpa was a flawless and timeless record. Not surprising from Allpa Kallpa and Traditional Music of the Andes together. Lots of variety between tracks. My favorite is Palmeras (Bolivia)
You have to get essence of the Palmeras (Bolivia)’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Todas Las Sangres (Peru) is the exquisite blend of moody yet optimistic tunes. Put Bruq’usq’a Wayata (Peru) into car stereo for your highway driving One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Taitasalasaca (Ecuador). It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. Campesino (Bolivia) - A strong beat. I can’t stop humming along Mamallay (Peru). K’antu (Bolivia) is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Viva Santa Cruz (Bolivia) has a beautifully haunting disco flavor. |titile| is a sure sign of something most of us are experiencing, maturity.
