eleven years ago, Alison Krauss and Union Station briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Lil Liza Jane”. Alison Krauss and Union Station’s debut, ‘Live at the Kentucky Bluegrass Festival’, does not fit easily into one genre. This compilation contains all of the biggest hits by Alison Krauss and Union Station. If I may, I suggest “Every time you say goodbye”. That one song is amazing!
You have to get essence of the Lil Liza Jane’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. I’ve found myself listening to Winter of a broken heart back to back and back many times. It’s Over one of the most beautiful songs i’ve ever heard. Alison Krauss and Union Station sings his heart out in Cloudy Days. In When you say nothing at all the light shines equally on lyrics, vocals and instrumentation. The sound of Oh Atlanta is difficult to describe, as it seems to squirm in a sensual manner, unlike anything ever created. I have all of Alison Krauss and Union Station’s tracks and Heaven’s Bright Shore is probably the most his introspective effort. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy.
