While no new Albinoni, Tomaso album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in North America. Lead single “III. Allegro” and “II. Adagio” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Now signed to Albinoni, Tomaso’s Columbia Records, the title track from second album “Concerto No.5 in C, Op.7 (Anthony Camden - oboe I, Alison Alty - oboe II, The London Virtuosi, con. John Georgiadis)” leads Albinoni, Tomaso’s back-to-school campaign. I wish that “Concerto No.5 in C, Op.7 (Anthony Camden - oboe I, Alison Alty - oboe II, The London Virtuosi, con. John Georgiadis)” album was instrumental.
Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. I. Allegro have really caught my ear and imagination.
