While no new Albert King album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1994 tour in Asia. Since completing 1994’s ‘Cold Sweat’, Albert King fulfilled their contract with Columbia Records and where under no obligation to release another album. It has been fifteen years Albert King’ last studio CD, “Funky London” which won Array Grammy Awards and was nominated for album of the year. If you love Albert King as much as I do, then Albert King Funky London is the CD for you!
Can’t You See What You’re Doing To Me - This happy song is an ode to optimism and an anthem. Funky London the elegant and beautiful song on the album is hard to describe. Lonesome - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of Albert King. Bad Luck is possibly the most mysterious and inexplicable track Albert King ever produced. Sweet Fingers is perfect. Finger On The Trigger is marvelous and different song. Drivin’ Wheel pretty much defines how I feel spiritually. Vocals of Albert King in Lovingest Woman In Town really capture me and are set perfectly to the rhythm.
