Alan Stivell Brian Boru MP3

Alan Stivell Brian Boru imageThere is so much to love about Alan Stivell, starting with incredible harmonies, songwriting chops and stellar stage presence. While no new Alan Stivell album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1995 tour in Europe. Since completing 1995’s ‘Brian Boru’, Alan Stivell fulfilled their contract with SixSteps records and where under no obligation to release another album. To me Alan Stivell is the best band ever.

This track is almost perfect, instrumentals and vocals combine awesomely. Mna na hEireann - A catchy, upbeat tune. Ye Banks and Braes is simple, dignified and effective, Alan Stivell refusing to over-emote, and demonstrating that less is more. Alan Stivell offers the kind of music here that makes you reflect on yourself. Cease Fire is almost impossible to review. This song is like perfectly aged vintage bordeaux wine not a tequila shot. Sword Dance - arguably the best track on Brian Boru album. Parlamant Lament is probably one of Alan Stivell’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. Lands Of My Father is one of the best records ever.
