Now signed to Alan Jackson’s Savoy Records, the title track from second album “Honky Tonk Christmas” leads Alan Jackson’s back-to-school campaign. Alan Jackson’s debut, ‘Honky Tonk Christmas’, does not fit easily into one genre. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Alan Jackson on ‘Honky Tonk Christmas’. If I may, I suggest “Honky Tonk Christmas”. That one song is amazing!
Alan Jackson allows each song to breathe and flourish. If We Make It Through December very upbeat. What sets If You Don’t Wanna See Santa Claus Cry apart is Alan Jackson’s innovative and organic way of creating atmospheres. I Only Want You For Christmas is astounding. Merry Christmas to Me is the song that really did it for me. A Holly Jolly Christmas is one of the most beautiful songs ever to grace my stereo. There’s a New Kid In Town (with Keith Wh…) is a song you cannot help but think about at odd moments in your day. Santa’s Gonna Come In a Pickup Truck (wi…) has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Please Daddy (Don’t Get Drunk This Chris…) is pretty funky and mellow.
