When you buy a Ahmed Sahin album, you know exactly what you’re getting! Sufi Breaths isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. Nowhere is this more so than on their re-working of Ahmed Sahin on ‘Segah Tekbir ve Salat-i Ummiye’. Such great and happy songs.
I now have Taksim (Improvisations) as one of my personal favorites. Ahmed Sahin sings his heart out in Bestenigar pesrev. Evcara Taksim - My least favorite song on this album. Evcara Saz Semaisi gives good insight into the truths. Devran (21:55) a good melody. Taksim (Improvisations) - For me, this is the best of the album. Karcigar Nefes is a great song for a cosy night in when it’s cold and wintry outside.
