Adriano Celentano’s debut, ‘Ciao Amore’, does not fit easily into one genre. Lead single “Pronto pronto” and “Un sole caldo caldo caldo” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. Ciao Amore is an amazing album, racked with beauty. This is the best album I have heard in a long time
Un sole caldo caldo caldo is another strong production from Adriano Celentano. I love you baby is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Gillie is one of the more up-tempo songs on Ciao Amore. Listening to Rip it up you can hear that Adriano Celentano has still amazing chemistry with band members. La gatta che scotta is just simply stunning. The stroll is a song to enjoy for years to come. Once Buona sera signorina gets in your head, it will NEVER leave. A New Orleans is, without a doubt, my favorite song, ever. Tutti frutti marked the continuation of Adriano Celentano in style evolution. The sound in Jailhouse rock is really warm and Adriano Celentano’s signature voice is still very much present. Hoola hop rock has to be one of the most beautiful tracks on the entire album. Voice and instruments in Nikita rock complement each other. In Idaho you won’t find any flashy solos. I loved Peppermint twist the first time I heard it. In La febbre dell’hoola hop Adriano Celentano spins a tale you want to hear to the end. I was truly moved when I heard Ehi stella. Strong percussion and poignant lyrics of this track really gets under your skin. Ciao amore is the astounding blend of moody yet optimistic tunes.
