Acid Jazz - Various Artists’s debut, ‘Us3 - (1993) Hand On The Torch’, does not fit easily into one genre. Us3 - (1993) Hand On The Torch isn’t so much a record, as a great effort at dragging you into another world. While no new Acid Jazz - Various Artists album is in sight, the artist has been road testing new songs during 1993 tour in Asia. This is one of Acid Jazz - Various Artists best albums
I Got It Goin’ On (Us3) is a strong cut, one of many. Different Rhythms (Us3) - a classic song. Blew our minds when we first heard It’s Like That (Us3). This song may be the most meaningful. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Cruisin’ (Us3). The sound in I Go To Work (Us3) is really warm and Acid Jazz - Various Artists’s signature voice is still very much present. This track is possibly the biggest guilty pleasure on Us3 - (1993) Hand On The Torch. Knowledge Of Self (Us3) is probably one of Acid Jazz - Various Artists’s biggest successes for the album - it’s lovely to listen to. This song is very powerful, its catchy melody will have you singing along in no time. Eleven Long Years (Us3) is nothing but pure genius. Make Tracks (Us3) is a fine track on any terms. The Darkside (US3) is the album’s biggest hit, I think.
