On Ballbreaker album, AC/DC have renewed their membership in the ‘if it ain’t broke…’ school of songwriting. Lead single “Hard As A Rock” and “Cover You In Oil” start with near-whispers before kicking into giddily catchy, fuzz box-driven hollered hooks. This disc has all of the essential AC/DC classics. This album is a scorcher!
Cover You In Oil - is a breath or fresh air compared to many previous songs of AC/DC. You have to get essence of the The Furor’s power, to truly understand this masterpiece. Boogie Man one of the best in my collection. The Honey Roll is outstanding work of AC/DC. Some call Burnin’ Alive from Ballbreaker as a quiet invitation of an artist to sit and listen. Hail Caesar is new, fresh, and hypnotizing. One of the more genuine-sounding songs is Love Bomb. Caught With Your Pants Down is a very good song maybe surprisingly better than you at first might’ve imagined. Whiskey On The Rocks is one of those songs that will put you in a good mood. Outside of the singles, my favorite song on Ballbreaker is Ballbreaker.
