Since completing 1995’s ‘Unleashed Axe-Age’, Abigor fulfilled their contract with Sparrow Records and where under no obligation to release another album. five years ago, Abigor briefly lived up to their terrific name, with an insanely addictive hit single called “Scars In The Landscape Of God”. It’s natural for Abigor to take a stab at ‘Unleashed Axe-Age’ considering her long-professed love for Godsplague. Nachthymnen (From The Twilight Kingdom) touched my soul like nothing else.
Music of Scars In The Landscape Of God is gentle, never overbearing. Reborn Through The Gates Of Three Moons - Well, here we get a bit more meaning. Other tracks are good but your best bet is to stick with Dornen. This track makes my mind whirl and vibrate with flowing energy. The first time I listened to The Dark Kiss I was struck by its excellent sound. Listening to I Face The Eternal Winter you can hear that Abigor has still amazing chemistry with band members. It’s also one of those rare songs that touchingly comfort the listener. A Frozen Soul In A Wintershadow great lyrics, dark, deep, angry and cool.
