There is no doubt that 16 Horsepower has talent. This album has some very good songs like I Seen What I Saw and Black Soul Choir. This is one of the best Cd’s 16 Horsepower has dropped to date. Such great and happy songs.
Black Soul Choir is an incredible song that has everything it needs to be another favorite track. I’ve found myself listening to Scrawled In Sap back to back and back many times. Horse Head - A catchy, upbeat tune. Ruthie Lingle is perhaps one of the best tracks of the past decade. Harm’s Way - A strong beat. Black Bush one is one of the better boring ones. Heel On The Shovel is kind of track that compels you to skip back and drink it in one more time before moving on through Sackcloth ‘n’ Ashes. Sackcloth ‘n’ Ashes couldn’t start better than with the up up-beat title track American Wheeze. Red Neck Reel - This one makes me want to not only sing along. Awesome song is really all that you can say about it. The first time I listened to Neck On The New Blade I was struck by its gorgeous sound. Opening track Strong Man shows the best of 16 Horsepower.
